A charismatic, beautiful smile enhances your appearance and your self-confidence. In cooperation with your dentist, we can prepare your teeth for optimal prosthetic restoration. Similarly, in the case of complex jaw anomalies (dysgnathia), we work closely with the most experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeons. There is no age limit for orthodontic treatment. The desire for almost invisible braces seems to be of great importance. Simply get in touch – we will be happy to assist you.

Invisible Braces

The lingual technique is an orthodontic treatment method in which the fixed braces are temporarily attached on the inner side of the teeth. Thus, this technique provides orthodontic tooth correction that is perfectly aesthetic and totally invisible from the outside. Invisible braces are therefore ideal for all patients who want a radiant smile without their private or professional environment noticing the treatment. We use equipment that is customised for you (WIN Lingual System). The brackets of this system feature an extremely flat design and high wearing comfort. The orthodontic arch wires are tailor-made for you and guarantee minimal pain and biological tooth movement. Due to the special steel alloy, this variant is also a comparatively inexpensive alternative to other systems. With the lingual technique, all dental and jaw anomalies can be corrected and recognisable tooth damage can be avoided.

Invisalign

The aligners used in the Invisalign procedure are transparent and almost invisible plastic splints that allow you to confidently face your daily routine during your orthodontic treatment. The treatment method is characterised by its high wearing comfort. The aligners are removable and you can eat and drink whatever you like during the treatment. Dental care is therefore also not a problem. Before the start of the treatment, we go over your virtual three-dimensional treatment plan with you and define the treatment goal together. Each aligner is prepared under medical supervision especially for you and must be worn for about 1 week. You will receive different aligners from us and can change them yourself at home according to our specifications. As a result, the check-up appointments are significantly reduced and you achieve your best smile and improved confidence step by step. Whether an aligner treatment makes sense in your individual case can be determined best in a personal consultation. We look forward to seeing you!

Orthoaesthetics

What is the first thing you notice when you meet someone new? Their eyes, hair and clothes... and a beautiful, straight smile. Patients with frontal crowding often find their appearance unattractive and suffer from it, even in mild cases. An improvement of this visual perception becomes the decisive treatment motive. Demand is highest between the ages of 16–55 years, since an aesthetic and attractive smile is associated with professional success, prestige and easier establishment of contact in this period of life. It is possible that you may have had successful orthodontic treatment in adolescence, but a relapse appears. Since these cases are usually mild dental misalignments, they can be corrected in a short time, almost invisible and cost-effective, thanks to our many years of experience and the use of innovative techniques. Only a perfectly straight smile opens doors for you.

Orthognathic Treatment

After completion of the facial growth and in cases of extreme anomalies (complex dysgnathia), optimal tooth and jaw position cannot be achieved solely by orthodontic treatment. Affected patients also suffer from limited chewing function and their appearance. The orthognathic treatment is divided into three stages and treatment takes an average of two years. In our orthodontist practice, we move your teeth to an optimal position during the first stage and work closely with the best oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the second stage. For the third and final stage we take over again to ensure fine-tuning of the dental alignment. All our patients have a significantly improved self-esteem and attitude towards life after completing their treatment. We explain the entire treatment process in detail to you to remove any possible worries. Just give us a call!

Fixed Ceramic Braces

Since most adults do not want to face their daily lives with really noticeable braces, a correction with ceramic brackets provides the desired therapeutic success while also meeting the aesthetic demands of our patients. With virtually invisible ceramic brackets, any misalignment can be corrected while you retain your self-confidence and a positive attitude towards life during your treatment. Fixed braces consist of so-called brackets, which are temporarily attached to each individual tooth. The self-ligating high-tech bracket systems do not require any additional metal wires or rubbers to insert the arch wire. This allows each tooth to slide quickly, smoothly and gently along the arch wire. Additional auxiliary wires and complicated loop bends are not necessary. This makes short treatment times of about 1 year for complete tooth and jaw reshaping possible. In most cases pulling healthy teeth is also not necessary.

Cranio-Mandibular Dysfunction (CMD) Therapy

The effects of tooth and jaw misalignment or a malocclusion have a negative impact on the entire body and affect the patient in a variety of ways. Often the cause of the complaints lies in unbalanced pressure on the mandibular joint, which forms the basis for a perfectly functioning organism. It is not uncommon for dental gaps, interferences or unilateral crossbites to result in so-called cranio-mandibular dysfunction (CMD) with concomitant symptoms such as head, neck, ear, knee or back pain, teeth grinding or teeth clenching, migraines, tinnitus, as well as sleep and concentration disorders. The diagnosis of CMD requires close examination of the muscles, the mandibular joints and the alignment of the teeth with each other. In this case, we always coordinate our therapy concept holistically in our interdisciplinary network of physiotherapists, orthopaedists, otorhinolaryngologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, dentists and pain therapists.

Orthodontic Gap Opening/Teeth Straightening

In the course of our lives, we may lose teeth or some may be missing naturally. Associated with it are uncontrolled tooth movement and tooth tipping. For a harmonious and perfectly functioning masticatory system (responsible for chewing function) all teeth are needed. If a tooth is missing and it is not replaced in a timely manner, the neighbouring teeth will tip and shift into its gap. All too often this causes cranio-mandibular dysfunction (CMD). In this case, we straighten the affected teeth again and move them to the right place. Depending on the case, we use fixed, invisible or removable braces to produce the desired success in a short time. Afterwards your dentist can fill the gap with an implant or a bridge. If the tooth position is improved in advance by us, it increases the stability and function of your future prosthetic replacement. We always work closely with your dentist during the treatment.

Mandibular Joint Diagnosis

Patients with cranio-mandibular dysfunction (CMD) usually have a long medical history with many doctor visits. Since the existing problems are often only treated symptomatically, improvement is often only just temporary. The diagnosis and treatment of CMD requires a precisely coordinated treatment concept. Patients who suffer from CMD often have dental malocclusions. However, for a harmonious masticatory system (responsible for chewing function), a balance between tooth position, mandibular joint and muscle activity is necessary. The clinical functional analysis includes a detailed examination of the facial and neck muscles, a movement examination of the mandibular joints and the alignment of the teeth to each other. In addition, depending on the level of severity, an instrumental functional analysis makes sense. The findings from the functional analysis are then used as the basis of your therapy concept and, in complex cases, jointly with other specialists and therapists.
